PIRU(info-ambon.com)– Wakil Gubernur Maluku, Barnabas Nathaniel Orno didampingi isteri, Ny. Beatrix Orno, Kamis (24/11/2022) menghadiri Pengukuhan Raja Adat Negeri Laimu, Kecamatan Telutih, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah.

Turut hadir dalam acara pengukuhan tersebut, Penjabat Bupati Maluku Tengah, Muhamat Marasabessy beserta unsur Forkopimda Kabupaten Maluku Tengah, para Saniri Negeri, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh adat, tokoh pemuda.

“Atas nama Pemerintah Provinsi Maluku, saya menyampaikan selamat atas proses pengukuhan adat raja Negeri Laimu, bapak Abdul Kadir Welemuly,” ungkapnya.

Ritual adat yang berlangsung saat ini, kata Wagub, merupakan moment yang bersejarah untuk anak negeri Laimu, karena memiliki pesan dan makna simbolik yang sangat kuat, sebagai perwujudan dari upaya bersama untuk terus menjaga dan memantapkan keberlangsungan nilai-nilai budaya dan kearifan lokal yang telah digagas oleh para leluhur sejak dahulu.

Terkait hal tersebut, ia pun menyampaikan beberapa pesan penting, khususnya bagi Negeri Laimu antara lain, pertama, Undang-Undang Nomor 6 tahun 2014 tentang Desa dan Undang-Undang nomor 23 tahun 2014 tentang pemerintahan daerah, status negeri sebagai suatu kesatuan masyarakat hukum berdasarkan asal usul dan adat istiadat, telah mendapat pengakuan formal. pengakuan secara legal formal ini, secara khusus memberikan kejelasan status dan kepastian hukum atas desa atau negeri, dalam sistem ketatanegaraan indonesia.

“Oleh sebab itu, keberadaan negeri-negeri adat dalam wilayah kecamatan Telutih, perlu dijaga dan dipertahankan serta dikembangkan, karena merupakan warisan para leluhur yang perlu dijunjung tinggi dan dihormati oleh masyarakat kita saat ini.

Kedua, pengukuhan adat raja Negeri Laimu yang dilakukan hari ini, bukan saja sebagai sebuah seremonial semata, tetapi juga sebagai bentuk tanggungjawab moril kita semua untuk melestarikan dan mewariskan nilai-nilai kepemimpinan yang amanah, penuh tanggung jawab dan selalu berpihak pada kepentingan rakyat.

“Raja memiliki fungsi utama yang akan membentuk karakter, identitas kultural dan peradaban yang dapat memperkuat harmoni dan persaudaraan dalam masyarakat, bahkan bisa menjadi modal sosial yang sangat berharga dalam pembangunan bangsa dan negara, terutama pembangunan Maluku tanah pusaka ini,” imbuhnya.

Ketiga, Pemerintah Provinsi Maluku terus berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan pembangunan negeri-negeri adat di Maluku, dengan terus mendorong alokasi anggaran melalui skema dana desa (DD) maupun anggaran dana desa (ADD), sehingga diharapkan dapat mempercepat pembangunan di desa dan negeri-negeri di Maluku agar dapat mewujudkan visi Pemerintah Provinsi Maluku,” jelas Wagub.

“Untuk itu, kepada bapak raja Negeri Laimu yang hari ini dikukuhkan dan seluruh warga masyarakat Laimu agar selalu diberi keteguhan, persaudaraan, kebersamaan dan persatuan dalam menjaga dan membangun negeri Laimu menuju negeri yang maju dan sejahtera,” tandas Wagub.

Pada kesempatan itu, Wagub juga menyerahkan bantuan secara simbolis kepada masyatakat berupa bantuan beras miskin ekstrim sebanysk 4 ton kepada kecamatan Telutih, bantusn makanan ringan bagi anak anak PUD dan TK, penyerahan dokumen kependudukan berupa KK, KIA dan akte kelahiran serta penyerahan bantuan sosial kepada pelaku usaha mikro yang terdampak inflasi.
