Jasa Raharja Serahkan Santunan Korban Kecelakaan Kapal Rajawali 03 di Maluku

PT Jasa Raharja telah menyerahkan seluruh santunan kepada 6 ahli waris korban meninggal dunia akibat kecelakaan laut speedboat Rajawali 03 yang terjadi di Banda Eli, Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara, Provinsi Maluku.-dok-

AMBON (info-ambon.com)-PT Jasa Raharja telah menyerahkan seluruh santunan kepada 6 ahli waris korban meninggal dunia akibat kecelakaan laut speedboat Rajawali 03 yang terjadi di Banda Eli, Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara, Provinsi Maluku, Senin (21/02/2022). Penyerahan santunan diberikan kepada ahli waris setelah petugas Jasa Raharja cepat melakukan survey secara online dan verfifikasi  terhadap korban kecelakaan laut yang terjadi serta pemilik speedboat Rajawali dipastikan telah memenuhi kewajibannya terkait pembayaran iuran wajib kapal laut (IWKL).

“Kami mengucapkan turut belasungkawa yang mendalam atas kejadian kecelakaan laut speedboat Rajawali 03 di Maluku Tenggara. Yang kami prioritaskan adalah melakukan verifikasi dan selanjutnya menyerahkan santunannya kepada keluarga ahli waris korban yang meninggal dunia,” kata Kepala Jasa Raharja Cabang Maluku Triadi Ambon dalam rilis tertulis yang diterima redaksi info-ambon.com, Kamis (24/2/2022).

Ditegaskan, seluruh penumpang Kapal Rajawali 03 yang menjadi korban meninggal dunia dijamin Jasa Raharja. Selain itu, pihaknya memastikan pemilik speedboat telah memenuhi kewajibannya terkait pembayaran IWKL Jasa Raharja.

Menurut Triadi, berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Keuangan No. 15 Tahun 2017 santunan diberikan sebesar Rp 50 juta untuk korban meninggal dunia.

Triadi menjelaskan keterbatasan akses memang menjadi masalah namun tidak akan menghambat kinerja  petugas Jasa Raharja. Kami telah berupaya mengatasi keterbatasan akses secara langsung dengan memanfaatkan Teknologi yang ada, Jasa Raharja telah memiliki kemudahan akses dalam melakukan verifikasi secara langsung, dan pada era saat ini kehadiran fisikpun dapat dijangkau/digantikan secara online dengan bantuan teknologi. Hal ini dilakukan agar bisa membantu dan mempercepat proses penyerahan santunan untuk meringankan beban keluarga ahli waris untuk biaya pemakaman serta keperluan lainnya.

Triadi menambahkan, dengan kondisi geografis di wilayah Maluku yang sebagian besar merupakan wilayah lautan, pengelola moda transportasi laut kiranya mematuhi himbauan terkait kondisi cuaca dan melengkapi penumpang dengan peralatan keselamatan. Juga kepada masyarakat selalu memilih moda transportasi resmi dalam melakukan perjalanan.

Para penumpang speedboat wajib membayar iuran asuransi kecelakaan yang telah tertera dalam karcis sebagaimana yang tertuang dalam Pasal 3 Ayat 1 Undang-Undang Nomor 33 Tahun 1964 tentang Dana Pertanggungan Wajib Kecelakaan Penumpang dari angkutan umum, kereta api, pesawat dan kapal/ferry dari setiap pembelian tiket penumpang.
